Now through Feb. 13: Seussical at Fort Bend Theatre
Award-winning Fort Bend Theatre presents "Seussical" now through February 13th Saturdays and Sundays at 3 pm at 2815 N. Main St in Stafford. Based on the delightful stories by Dr. Seuss, Seussical brings all of our favorite characters to life, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, and those wacky Whos. The powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant in a story that makes you laugh and cry. Feb. 6: How to Accessorize Your Home
Pottery Barn at First Colony Mall will offer a complimentary class entitled "How To Accessorize Your Home." The class begins at 3 p.m. and, during the session, Pottery Barn professionals will share some simple and affordable ways to refresh a home with new accessories.

Feb. 12: Celebrate Black History at the Houston Museum of Natural Science-Sugar Land
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visit the Sugar Land campus of the Houston Museum of Natural Science to learn about the contributions of famous black scientists and inventors, including Benjamin Banneker, an astronomer, mathematician, surveyor, almanac author and farmer. Explore the science of astronomy with activities in our Space Science Exhibition, participate in crafts and join us for story time. Feb. 12: Valentine Date Night at Sugar Land Town Square featuring Radio London
Dance the night away while enjoying a live performance from a dynamic group of high-energy musicians playing a variety of music ranging from classic rock, pop, country to R&B. Enjoy the performances of Fred Astaire Dance Studio instructors throughout the evening and take advantage of their expertise in freshening up your moves on the dance floor. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Feb. 18: Book Swap at the Language Factory
Everyone is welcome to bring a book to exchange until Friday, Feb. 11, and then come and "swap" at 5 p.m. Feb. 18. From adventure books to science fiction novels, all kinds of books will be accepted. Feb. 19: Blast Into Outer Space On A Simulated Space Flight To The Moon!
During Family Space Night on Feb. 19, the Challenger Learning Center at the George Observatory will be open for individual children and adults to sign up for missions. No danger is involved! Astronauts are assigned jobs aboard the Space Station Observer and work together as they solve problems and have fun. Volunteers who work at NASA will run the missions and visit with the participants. Don’t miss this special opportunity to participate in real astronaut training!
Missions in the Challenger Learning Center are usually only open to groups with reservations. Don’t miss your chance to participate as an individual during this special event!
This event is available for people 7 years of age and older. Kids 7-9 must have an adult chaperone participate. Mission Times: 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. A minimum of 10 participants is required for each mission. Refunds will be issued if the minimum is not met. Stay after your mission for Stargazing! Feb. 19: Men Who Cook at Safari Texas
Men Who Cook will celebrate its 10th anniversary by continuing the tradition of enjoying tantalizing dishes prepared by “celebrity” chefs in a cocktail setting. Billie Ledbetter will once again headline this year’s entertainment, with Jeff Council a auctioning off a wonderful array of items. Texas Radio Hall-of-Famer Rowdy Yates will once again serve as master of ceremonies. Men Who Cook will be February 19 at Safari Texas, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Feb. 24: Learn to Buy and Sell on eBay
Has your child outgrown his clothes and you’d like to sell them? Do you need to replace a hubcap that flew off on the freeway? The Adult Services staff at Fort Bend County Libraries’ George Memorial Library, 1001 Golfview in Richmond, will present “The Basics of Buying and Selling on eBay,” beginning at 10 a.m. in the Computer Lab.
The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. The Campbell Elementary PTA & Life Time Fitness present the run or walk with all proceeds going to purchase new computers for the Campbell Elementary computer lab.
